As a self-proclaimed bean bag chair expert, I attempt to explain the ways of the world. And I do it all for free. I call this, The Bean Blog Chair.

College Talk

Well, I'll be honest with you. I have two goals for this post. The first one is to plug a website about college text books. The other is to plug a website about... you guessed it, bean bag chairs. Namely, college bean bag chairs.

The first website is called SFAbooks.com. It was created for students of SFASU to buy and sell textbooks with other students on campus, instead of getting ripped off by bookstores. It's a useful tool for college students. The site also has a professor rating system so future students can be warned about professors.

The other site of course is an online retailer of college bean bag chairs. You know I can't put a post on my site without mentioning bean bags. There are over 45 or so college and university bean bags available. So be sure to get one from your favorite school. Unfortunately, SFASU (Stephen F. Austin State University) is not available. But don't worry, I've written letters to the company to see what can be done.

Obligatory New Year Bean Bag Post

The new year is here! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year break. Did you get everything you wanted for Christmas? I did! DVDs were the big gift this year for me. I guess everybody that knows me knows that I like to sit in my King Size Fuf Chair with some Doritos and a ice cold Pepsi and watch good movies. That's how I've been spending some of my days off.

I made the mistake of not getting the removable liner on my Fuf Chair, I know I am going to get fingerprints or spill something on it. Well, I know what to ask for next year. Maybe I'll just get an extra cover to put over the chair to give the room a whole new look. But that's cheating. I can't remain king of the bean bags by copping out and just buying the cover. No, I'll have to get a whole new chair.

Black Friday: Line Up Online

Today is Black Friday. It sounds like a bad thing, but Black Friday is the mega-busy shopping day after Thanksgiving. Stores offer super low offers on a limited number of items to lure shoppers into the stores... and it works. I drove by a Best Buy last night and saw people lined up, bundled up, and camping out waiting for the store to open so they could be the first to get a good deal. I should have offered them some comfy bean bags to sit on while they waited. ;)

Actually, all these folks could save more money over time by shopping online (especially on electronics). I bet if you bought all your electronic items online over a year, you could save more money than waiting in the cold all night to save on one stinking item. That's just my two cents.
